Tom Kerridge likes the Royal Oak in Bovingdon Green, Mitch Tonks the Manor in Brixham and José Pizarro the Galvin Green Man near Chelmsford. Most of us have got a favourite pub we’ve eyed up enviously these past few months, desperate to be able to visit again. Well, the time has come, albeit outdoors only and accessorised with thick coats and woolly hats if the weather forecast is to be believed. We celebrate with an alfresco April special, including our favourite pub gardens and perfect recipes for outdoor eating (even for those who hate barbecuing). All we need now is a bit of sunshine.
